Tim Youngs
Professor Emeritus of English and Travel Studies
I am Professor Emeritus (at Nottingham Trent University in the UK), having retired in order to concentrate on promoting the work of the artist Gurminder Sikand and on my writing (critical and creative). My teaching focused mainly on post-1800 British, North American (especially African American), and postcolonial writing, and I have published mainly on travel writing, but my future publications may range more widely.
I continue to welcome invitations to give talks and readings, to collaborate, to join networks, receive expressions of interest in submitting titles to the book series I co-edit (see the 'about' page on this website), to referee book proposals for publishers, to examine PhDs, and to be an external advisor on research projects.
This site gives information on some of my academic activities and on my poetry publications.
